A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Radiology Tech/X-ray Technologist to provide essential imaging services in a large, reputable healthcare environment. This position requires a strong clinical background in diagnostic radiology and a commitment to outstanding patient care. Successful candidates will excel in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with occasional pediatric coverage.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour Night Shifts: Friday–Sunday, 6:30 pm–7:00 am (36 hours/week)

Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience with strong proficiency is accepted; first-time travelers welcomed with at least 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Expertise in X-ray imaging, with proven experience in fluoroscopy, surgery, portable, trauma, and diagnostic imaging
  • O-arm experience is preferred; DEXA experience is a plus, though not mandatory
  • Proficient with Cerner EMR and previous use of GE/Siemens/DR x-ray equipment is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for inpatient, outpatient, adult, and occasional pediatric patients
  • Operate GE and Siemens fluoroscopy and x-ray equipment as well as portable units
  • Adapt to patient volume, averaging 4 exams per hour (up to 40 per day)
  • Float among different areas within the Radiology department as needed
  • Collaborate with a team in a Level II Trauma and primary stroke center
  • Participate in a hospital orientation (1 eight-hour session, followed by 2–3 shifts alongside another tech, primarily days)
  • Adhere to departmental and hospital policies regarding holiday/holiday coverage and weekend rotations (usually once a month; schedule varies)
  • Contribute to voluntary on-call coverage as preferred by department policy
