Take the next step in medical imaging with this opportunity for an experienced Radiologic Technologist. This contract role is designed for professionals skilled in imaging modalities, ready to provide excellent diagnostic care within a dynamic Level III Trauma Center setting.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • 13-week contract duration

Qualifications:

  • Valid ARRT (R) registration and current BLS certification are required
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a radiology setting, including proficiency in OR, ER, portable, and general radiography
  • Outstanding reliability, dependability, and commitment to compassionate patient care
  • Solid communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiologic procedures under radiologist supervision in alignment with department protocols
  • Clearly explain procedures and prepare patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their imaging experience
  • Analyze clinical information, review requisitions, and obtain additional patient history as needed to ensure high-quality studies
  • Operate and control imaging equipment; apply independent judgement for optimal positioning and safe exposure techniques
  • Prepare procedure rooms; maintain inventory of supplies and monitor infection control standards
  • Select and administer intravenous contrast when appropriate, monitoring for patient safety throughout
  • Apply principles of radiation protection, including ALARA practices, to safeguard patients and staff
  • Document all studies and patient care activities accurately in PACS, RIS, and the medical record
  • Resolve image exceptions, confirm with radiology protocols, and deliver high-quality images into PACS
  • Contribute to the education of students and new hires as necessary
  • Uphold patient privacy, confidentiality, and legal/ethical standards at all times
