Perform advanced radiologic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist in a fast-paced contract assignment located in Warren, MI. This role offers the opportunity to work primarily in either the Emergency Room (ER) or Operating Room (OR) settings, handling a diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric, including trauma cases. You will contribute to critical diagnostic processes using state-of-the-art imaging technology, enhancing patient outcomes through skilled execution of radiographic techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes to ensure comfort and compliance.
  • Conduct radiologic exams using GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner systems, adhering to established protocols.
  • Perform portable imaging in ER or OR environments, accommodating the needs of trauma patients with level I or II experience.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media when required, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and responding promptly.
  • Maintain equipment, replenish supplies, and ensure adherence to radiation safety practices including ALARA techniques.
  • Complete all documentation accurately in RIS and PACS systems, ensuring quality imaging and data integrity.
  • Assist in educating new hires and students, fostering a team environment that values excellence, communication, and respect.
  • Participate in every other weekend rotations with a consistent weekday schedule (Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT – RT certification.
  • Level I or II trauma experience in ER, inpatient, outpatient, or OR settings required.
  • Familiarity with GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner imaging technologies.
  • Comfortable with non-Epic electronic medical records.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills, with a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Schedule & Duration:

  • Contract length of 26 weeks with a Monday through Friday schedule, including every other weekend rotation.
  • No on-call or block scheduling required.
