Seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to provide essential imaging services at a Level III Trauma Center for a 13-week assignment. This opportunity involves working under the supervision of a Radiologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures in a fast-paced environment ensuring optimal patient safety and care.
Schedule:
- 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
- Every other weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
- Minimum of 6 months of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Proficiency working in OR, ER, performing portable, and general radiographic exams
- Strong reliability, dependability, and focus on excellent patient care
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
- Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional history as needed
- Prepare rooms, set up sterile equipment, and maintain adequate supplies
- Accurately perform radiologic procedures, utilizing independent judgment for technique, positioning, and safety
- Employ radiation protection principles, including ALARA techniques and shielding
- Administer IV contrast media if necessary, monitoring for patient reactions
- Ensure proper documentation in both medical records and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS)
- Maintain strict infection control and patient privacy protocols
- Support the training of new staff or students when required
- Consistently exhibit team standards of excellence such as open communication, positive attitude, and respect for diversity
