Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) | Warren, Michigan

Take on a vital role in diagnostic imaging within a busy Level III Trauma Center, where your expertise as a Radiologic Technologist will directly impact patient care. Under the guidance of a Radiologist, you’ll perform a range of radiology procedures while ensuring safety, precision, and comfort for every patient. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and offers the chance to operate in high-acuity environments such as the OR, ER, and both portable and general radiology settings.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

• Active ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
• Minimum 6 months of recent experience in a hospital setting, with proficiency in operating room, emergency, portable, and general imaging studies
• Track record of reliability, dependability, and excellent patient care
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to independently determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and ensure radiation safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Explain procedures to patients, prepare and position them appropriately
• Review clinical requisitions, confirm protocols with the Radiologist, and perform imaging studies using proper techniques
• Administer intravenous contrast media as needed, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Uphold department infection control and patient safety protocols
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, equipment, and inventory
• Perform timely documentation in both PACS and RIS systems
• Teach and mentor new team members and students as required
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and foster a culture of respect and innovation
