Seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to provide essential imaging services at a Level III Trauma Center for a 13-week assignment. This opportunity involves working under the supervision of a Radiologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures in a fast-paced environment ensuring optimal patient safety and care.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
  • Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

  • ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Proficiency working in OR, ER, performing portable, and general radiographic exams
  • Strong reliability, dependability, and focus on excellent patient care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional history as needed
  • Prepare rooms, set up sterile equipment, and maintain adequate supplies
  • Accurately perform radiologic procedures, utilizing independent judgment for technique, positioning, and safety
  • Employ radiation protection principles, including ALARA techniques and shielding
  • Administer IV contrast media if necessary, monitoring for patient reactions
  • Ensure proper documentation in both medical records and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS)
  • Maintain strict infection control and patient privacy protocols
  • Support the training of new staff or students when required
  • Consistently exhibit team standards of excellence such as open communication, positive attitude, and respect for diversity
