Qualifications:
- Proficient in Imaging – Ultrasound General
- Expertise with 2D, color Doppler, and continuous Doppler echocardiograms
- Advanced knowledge of stress and dobutamine echocardiograms
- Solid understanding of echocardiography for diagnosing wall motion and ventricular abnormalities, effusions, stenotic/regurgitant lesions, and congenital defects
- Demonstrated ability to interpret test results and promptly communicate preliminary reports
- Experience reviewing patient charts and clinical history prior to testing
- Commitment to providing clear explanations and patient-centered care during procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all phases of cardiac ultrasound examinations, including portable studies requiring equipment mobilization
- Review and accurately document test results, including operation of ancillary devices for permanent study records
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and room preparation standards
- Ensure reliability and accuracy of reporting by calibrating and recording control values on all technical equipment
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians, house officers, and other clinical staff
