Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Allied Health program with additional training in ultrasound
• Registered in Adult Vascular and ECHO by ARDMS or CCI
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• At least two years of experience in ultrasound imaging
• Proficiency scanning adult patients; pediatric experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of vascular and cardiac anatomy and ultrasound physics
• Understanding of AIC accreditation is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Complete adult cardiac echo exams, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as prescribed
• Collaborate with medical staff to design patient care and education plans
• Interact with patients and families, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and specific patient needs
• Operate and care for a variety of imaging systems and related diagnostic equipment
• Navigate physical demands such as transporting machines and negotiating awkward scanning positions
