Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (full-time; specific shifts provided upon assignment)
Qualifications:
- Proficient in general ultrasound imaging, focusing on cardiac echocardiography
- Expertise in 2-dimensional, color Doppler, and Doppler echocardiograms
- Skilled in stress and dobutamine echocardiograms
- Strong knowledge of non-imaging continuous Doppler for diagnosing abnormal pathologies
- Mastery in diagnosing wall motion abnormalities, ventricular issues, pericardial and pleural effusion, lesions, and congenital heart abnormalities
- Ability to interpret results, communicate promptly with physicians, and compile preliminary reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical history and explain procedures to patients
- Position patients for optimal cardiac ultrasound imaging
- Perform and record portable echocardiography studies
- Ensure test results' accuracy, prepare thorough reports, and utilize ancillary devices for permanent records
- Calibrate and monitor technical instruments for reliability
- Maintain orderly, clean testing environments and perform equipment upkeep
