• ARDMS certification or registry-eligible status in diagnostic medical sonography required
• Proven experience performing general ultrasound examinations and procedures
• Strong understanding of sonographic anatomy, pathology, and protocols
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and PACS systems
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team setting
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality general ultrasound exams, producing accurate images for physician interpretation
• Explain procedures and provide compassionate support to patients before, during, and after exams
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control policies at all times
• Document exam findings and maintain complete patient records in the electronic medical system
• Perform quality assurance checks on imaging equipment, reporting any concerns promptly
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to ensure optimal care and efficient workflow
• Assist with occasional training or orientation of new staff as needed
