Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS or equivalent national certification in General Ultrasound
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging modalities
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Tech or Sonographer
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced or changing healthcare settings
- Current BLS certification
Schedule:
- Contract assignment with variable/flexible shifts
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality general ultrasound exams on patients of all ages, following established protocols
- Accurately identify, label, and document anatomical structures and pathology for radiologist interpretation
- Ensure excellent patient preparation, comfort, and safety throughout the imaging process
- Maintain and operate sonography equipment, ensuring cleanliness and calibration standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical team members to ensure timely diagnostic results
- Properly document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with facility policies
- Participate in ongoing education and stay current with advances in imaging technology and best practices
