A healthcare facility seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to support the imaging team for a 13-week contract. The professional in this role will provide patient-centered ultrasound exams and collaborate with clinicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Schedule:

  • 4 shifts of 10 hours each week
  • First shift
  • Some weekdays and every other weekend required

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred
  • Previous experience in general ultrasound imaging
  • Strong knowledge of sonographic techniques, anatomy, and pathology
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach with patients
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Analyze images, recognize abnormalities, and assist radiologists with interpretations as needed
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Adhere to infection control and safety procedures throughout all processes
