An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled ultrasound technologist with expertise in general ultrasound imaging. This role offers a dynamic working environment and the chance to make a significant impact by providing high-quality diagnostic care to patients for a 13-week assignment.

Schedule:

  • 1st shift
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
  • Some weekdays and every other weekend

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent)
  • Proven experience with a variety of general ultrasound procedures
  • Strong technical skills in operating state-of-the-art imaging equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with patients and staff
  • Current BLS certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of general ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns
  • Capture and evaluate high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring optimal image clarity and proper documentation
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and medical staff to communicate findings and assist with further patient care as needed
  • Maintain equipment in safe working order and comply with safety standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping within the electronic health records system
