A healthcare facility seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to support the imaging team for a 13-week contract. The professional in this role will provide patient-centered ultrasound exams and collaborate with clinicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Schedule:
- 4 shifts of 10 hours each week
- First shift
- Some weekdays and every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred
- Previous experience in general ultrasound imaging
- Strong knowledge of sonographic techniques, anatomy, and pathology
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach with patients
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
- Analyze images, recognize abnormalities, and assist radiologists with interpretations as needed
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures throughout all processes
