A skilled diagnostic imaging professional is needed to fill a key ultrasound tech/sonographer position on a contract basis. This role requires expertise in performing and interpreting general ultrasound studies, providing quality patient care, and collaborating with healthcare teams for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program
- ARDMS or equivalent certification in General Ultrasound
- Previous experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with imaging equipment and current ultrasound techniques
- Strong communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic general ultrasound studies according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Review images for clarity, completeness, and diagnostic value before submitting reports to radiologists or referring physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs in compliance with privacy regulations
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain equipment in proper working order
- Educate and assist patients throughout the imaging process, addressing any concerns professionally
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless, efficient workflow and patient care

$3,194 - $3,379/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
