Core Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures for cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions under the supervision of the Leader of Cardiopulmonary.
  • Complete cardiac echo studies on adult patients (ability to scan pediatric patients is a plus).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to develop and coordinate patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on procedures, addressing questions and concerns thoughtfully.
  • Navigate a range of ultrasound equipment, from imaging systems and doppler units to EKG and Holter monitors.
  • Adapt to unique clinical environments while providing compassionate, culturally competent care to diverse patient populations, including special needs and varying cultural backgrounds.
  • Physically maneuver equipment and assist in patient positioning for comprehensive studies.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program, with specialized ultrasound training.
  • Minimum two years' experience in general ultrasound; proficiency in scanning adults required.
  • Registered in Adult Vascular and Echocardiography via ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Current BLS certification from AHA.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, and anatomy of cardiac/vascular systems.
  • Familiarity with AIC accreditation preferred.
