Ultrasound Tech - Columbus, Ohio

Specialized imaging professionals are needed for a 13-week contract role focused on providing high-quality ultrasound diagnostic services within a reputable healthcare environment. This position is designed for experienced Ultrasound Technologists or Sonographers passionate about patient care and excellence in imaging.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts
• Weekend nights

Qualifications:

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Registered with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in general ultrasound imaging
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and adhering to safety protocols
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to ensure patient comfort and optimize image quality throughout the diagnostic process

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of general ultrasound procedures to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient treatment
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and answer questions to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with radiologists and medical teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to established protocols, infection control, and safety standards within the imaging department
• Participate in ongoing quality control and equipment maintenance activities
• Effectively manage workflow during night and weekend hours, ensuring timely and compassionate care
