Key Qualifications:

• Current ARDMS certification required
• Competency in general ultrasound techniques and equipment operation
• Solid understanding of infection control and sterile procedures
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to independently prioritize tasks and respond effectively in emergency situations
• Willingness to instruct students and mentor junior staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound exams following department protocols, ensuring clarity and diagnostic quality
• Accurately verify orders, identify patients, and document procedures and outcomes
• Educate, comfort, and address patient concerns throughout their visit
• Maintain equipment, adhere to cleaning standards, and report any malfunctions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Guide students and fellow technologists on techniques and department standards
• Uphold all departmental and regulatory protocols for coding, charging, and quality control
