Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed formal training in diagnostic medical sonography (ARDMS registry preferred)
  • Proficient in performing general ultrasound imaging procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to produce and interpret high-quality sonographic images
  • Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively within a clinical setting
  • Current BLS certification required

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract position; schedule details to be coordinated with department needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate and timely general ultrasound procedures according to physician orders
  • Properly operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient safety and image quality
  • Document patient histories, maintain exam records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to support comprehensive patient assessment and care
  • Explain procedures to patients, address questions compassionately, and provide a supportive environment
  • Assist with the management of imaging supplies and departmental cleanliness
