Step into a dynamic ultrasound imaging role where your expertise supports a busy clinical environment providing essential diagnostic services. This contract position offers the chance to work nights with a supportive team, utilizing Siemens Sequoia and P2000 equipment across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Schedule/Hours:
- Nights: 1900-0700
- Rotating weekends as needed (no specific rotation)
- 75% of holidays expected to be worked
- Minimal on-call, generally not required
- 13-week assignment cycle
Required Experience and Skills:
- At least 1 year of ultrasound tech/sonographer experience (not accepting first-time travelers)
- Strong vascular ultrasound proficiency
- Current BLS certification
- ARDMS or ARRT credential (no specific anatomy certification required)
- Fast learner; ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
- Comfortable floating between a hospital and outpatient imaging center as needed
Primary Duties and Expectations:
- Perform general and vascular ultrasound exams for a varied patient population, including cancer, stroke, heart attack, and infectious disease cases
- Support average departmental volumes of 250-300 patients per day
- Complete orientation modules and participate in a two-day departmental orientation
- Communicate effectively with radiology students and colleagues in a collaborative department culture
- Ensure all compliance documentation, including photo ID, is provided
