Ultrasonographer in Gastonia, NC

This contract opportunity requires a skilled and adaptable Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer to deliver high-quality patient care across a busy multi-departmental environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Weekend work required as needed (no set rotation)
• 75% holiday coverage expectation
• Minimal floating required between the main hospital and an outpatient imaging center

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Ultrasound experience (first-time travelers cannot be accepted)
• Registered with ARDMS (no specific anatomy certification required) or ARRT credentialed
• Current BLS certification
• Proficient in general ultrasound with demonstrable vascular experience
• Strong multitasking ability and capacity to quickly adapt to a high-volume setting
• Professional photo ID required (to be provided during compliance)

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams including vascular studies for a diverse patient population (cancer, stroke, cardiac, and infectious conditions)
• Utilize Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound equipment and document findings in EPIC EMR
• Deliver safe, accurate imaging and support timely diagnosis for emergency, routine, and complex cases
• Float between the main hospital and outpatient center as departmental needs arise
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, nurses, and occasionally support radiology student training
• Adhere to department policies; wear black scrubs and ensure all records meet regulatory standards
