Deliver essential ultrasound services in a dynamic emergency department, supporting a patient-centered team environment. This contract position is well-suited for experienced sonographers comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting. You will have access to advanced equipment and a collaborative interdisciplinary staff.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract role with full-time hours
  • Floating required; night shift supports multiple facilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
  • Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S)
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging in an emergency setting
  • Willingness to perform supplemental patient care tasks such as taking vitals, assisting with EKGs, patient transport, and monitoring, with support and training during orientation
  • Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team in a facility averaging 15 ED visits and 5 imaging studies per day
  • Open to first-time travelers; orientation provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ultrasound imaging for emergency department patients
  • Assist with obtaining vitals, drawing labs, and EKG tasks as needed
  • Support patient rooms, provide sitter coverage, and help transfer or transport patients during peak times
  • Collaborate with radiology, CT, and nursing staff to support departmental operations
  • Utilize EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS; primary ultrasound equipment includes Siemens Sequoia
  • Float between specified locations on night shifts as required
