Qualifications:
- Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent required)
- Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging
- Proficiency with sonographic equipment, protocols, and safety standards
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities to interact with patients and staff
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations as ordered by medical staff
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and accuracy
- Analyze images for clarity and provide comprehensive imaging data to physicians
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
- Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure exemplary patient care
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies at all times
