Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent required)
  • Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging
  • Proficiency with sonographic equipment, protocols, and safety standards
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities to interact with patients and staff
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations as ordered by medical staff
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and accuracy
  • Analyze images for clarity and provide comprehensive imaging data to physicians
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
  • Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure exemplary patient care
  • Adhere to infection control and safety policies at all times
