A highly organized, skilled imaging professional is needed to play a vital role performing general ultrasound procedures within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in both imaging technology and patient care, contributing to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Active certification (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT) in General Ultrasound/Sonography.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Tech or Sonographer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to ultrasound imaging.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations as ordered by medical staff.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and submit results to radiologists or physicians.
  • Accurately document patient history and procedure details.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards within the imaging department.
