Make a meaningful impact by supporting emergency care as an Ultrasound Technologist at a state-of-the-art free-standing emergency department. In this contract opportunity, you’ll bring your expertise in general ultrasound imaging to a dynamic team handling a 10-bed unit, averaging 15 ED visits and five studies per day. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring prompt, high-quality diagnostic care for ED patients.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift coverage includes supporting ultrasound needs at both Ballantyne FSED and Providence FSED facilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' ultrasound experience required
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S)
- Current BLS certification
- General ED ultrasound imaging skills
- Willingness to learn additional skills (vitals, EKG, sitter duties) during orientation
- Able to assist with patient rooming, obtaining vitals, line/lab support, and provide sitter support when needed
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Comfort with Siemens Sequoia, Trophon equipment, and EPIC EMR
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility per traveler requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality general ultrasound studies in an emergency department setting
- Support team members by aiding with patient movement, transportation, and department workflow
- Assist with general patient care including obtaining vital signs, rooming, and supporting patients with behavioral health needs
- Float to other department sites as required to meet patient care needs
