Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer for an engaging contract opportunity. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care across multiple imaging departments, using skills in general ultrasound and vascular sonography. The position is suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy multitasking, and are adaptable to different clinical settings.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Schedule follows 13-week cycles
- Weekend coverage required as needed; no strict rotation
- Travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays
- Floating may be required between main hospital and outpatient clinic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer (no first-time travelers)
- Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasound required
- Current BLS certification required
- Either ARDMS (no specific anatomy certification required) or ARRT
- Strong multitasking and learning skills, with ability to adapt to different technology and workflows
- Must provide photo ID during compliance process (NC State licensure not required)
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including vascular studies, for a diverse patient population (cancer, stroke, Covid, respiratory, cardiac cases)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Level 3 Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain/Stroke Center
- Utilize Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound equipment; document in EPIC EMR
- Float between hospital and outpatient imaging clinics as directed
- Orient quickly to department protocols and support a positive, collaborative team environment
