Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Proficient in general ultrasound imaging; experience with vascular procedures a plus
- Strong understanding of anatomy and imaging techniques
- Effective communicator, able to work both collaboratively and independently
- Committed to high standards of infection control and patient safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality ultrasound exams per physician directives, ensuring proper imaging protocols
- Verify patient identification, obtain consent, and educate patients on procedures
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of studies performed
- Assist and instruct radiology students and fellow techs in procedures and equipment use
- Operate advanced imaging systems and troubleshoot as needed
- Respond effectively in emergency situations and prioritize patient care tasks
- Maintain equipment, cleaning standards, and follow all regulatory protocols
