This travel position specializes in general ultrasound imaging, with an emphasis on adult cardiac echos and vascular studies. Under the guidance of the department’s Cardiopulmonary Leader, you’ll provide vital diagnostic services upon physician request, engage with patients and their families, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to tailor carefully considered care plans. Whether working with developmentally diverse patient populations or adapting to unique physical demands—such as maneuvering portable ultrasound machines—your adaptability will be key.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Allied Health school, with ultrasound specialization
• Registered in Adult Vascular and ECHO by ARDMS or CCI
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum two years’ experience in ultrasound, particularly adult cardiac echo
• Proficient in scanning adult patients; ability to scan pediatric patients is a plus
• Knowledge of AIC accreditation and ultrasound physics preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
• Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff for patient care planning
• Educate patients and family members about procedures
• Utilize a wide range of imaging and physiologic monitoring equipment
