Key Qualifications:

• Certification in diagnostic medical sonography (RDMS or equivalent required)
• Demonstrated experience in general ultrasound imaging across a variety of patient populations
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and related technology
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it pertains to sonographic imaging
• Attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and interpret images accurately
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
• Comprehensive understanding of patient safety and infection control procedures
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical settings and changing priorities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Independently perform general ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians
• Assess images for technical quality and recognize normal/abnormal anatomy
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with established protocols and privacy standards
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring providers to deliver timely diagnostic information
