This contract position is based in Marietta, GA, and requires flexibility to work a night shift schedule from Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role demands a dependable and cooperative professional who can independently execute a wide variety of ultrasound procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify physician orders and gather comprehensive clinical histories.
- Perform ultrasound examinations with proficiency and according to departmental protocols.
- Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and dignity throughout procedures.
- Adjust and operate imaging equipment, ensuring quality diagnostic outcomes.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist other technologists as needed.
- Maintain precise documentation and participate in quality control activities.
- Follow infection control standards and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Sonography Training Program.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- ARDMS or ARRT-S certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
