Take your ultrasound and patient care skills to a modern facility serving a busy Emergency Department. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer with a strong background in general ED imaging. The position features a 12-hour night shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Enjoy the flexibility of selecting two on-call nights per month and collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Every weekend required
  • On-call two nights/month (flexible selection)
  • 75% holiday coverage expected

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in ultrasound, preferably in an ED setting
  • National certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARRT (S)
  • Active BLS certification
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Must live 50+ miles from home unit

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in general and emergency department ultrasound imaging
  • Willingness to assist with general vitals, patient rooming, EKGs, sitter duties, patient transport, and supporting DX/CT as needed
  • Strong teamwork with staff from multiple modalities
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, Siemens Sequoia’s, and Trophon equipment

  • Average 45 ED visits/day and 5 studies/day
  • No floating required during assigned shifts

Department/Onboarding:

  • Orientation includes one day administrative onboarding plus 2 days to one week of department training
