This contract opportunity is ideal for those seeking to apply and expand their expertise across general ED ultrasound imaging and collaborative patient care functions.
Schedule/Hours
- Night shift coverage, with expectation to occasionally float to support nearby facilities as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Comfort with general ED ultrasound imaging and willingness to learn additional skills such as taking vitals, performing EKGs, and assisting with patient rooming (training provided during orientation).
- Willingness to help beyond imaging, including assisting with transporting patients and supporting other modalities as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems (EPIC) and imaging platforms including Epic Radiant and Philips iSite.
- Must have a permanent address at least 50 miles outside the facility.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform and document a variety of general ultrasound studies for emergency department patients.
- Participate actively in the patient care process, including taking vitals, serving as a sitter for behavioral health patients as needed, and supporting line/lab collection.
- Collaborate closely with ED staff, imaging technologists, and department leaders to ensure seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Float between locations if staffing needs arise, particularly during the night shift.
