A skilled Ultrasound Technologist with expertise in general ultrasound imaging is needed for a 13-week contract in New York, NY. This role focuses on providing high-quality sonographic services utilizing advanced ultrasound equipment. The position offers a five-day schedule with 8-hour shifts, primarily during daytime hours; specific days and times will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer in a clinical setting
- Strong patient care and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring optimal functionality
- Accurately document findings and assist physicians in diagnostic interpretation
- Adhere to safety standards and infection control procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
