An opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to support imaging services in a growing healthcare setting. The position requires strong skills in general ultrasound, with specific experience in vascular ultrasound. This contract role offers a dynamic environment involving work at multiple sites within the organization.

Location

Based in Newton, NC, this opportunity provides exposure to both hospital and outpatient clinical settings. The region offers a balanced lifestyle with accessible amenities and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations utilizing Siemens Sequoia and P2000 equipment.
  • Provide patient care for diverse cases including cancer, stroke, heart conditions, respiratory illnesses, and other common diagnoses.
  • Support multiple departments and float between the main hospital and outpatient imaging center as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and departmental guidelines in a Level 3 Trauma Center environment.
  • Participate in orientation and training modules as required.
  • Collaborate effectively within a supportive, family-oriented department.
  • Be available for weekend assignments on an as-needed basis and work approximately 75% of holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience, with vascular ultrasound proficiency required.
  • Active credentials: BLS certification and ARDMS or ARRT certification (NC State licensure not required).
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Willingness to float between hospital and outpatient clinics.
  • Professional appearance with black scrubs; parking available onsite at no cost.

Schedule

  • Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Generally, no on-call or call-back responsibilities.
  • Schedules are arranged in 13-week cycles with potential schedule changes upon manager approval.
  • Weekend and holiday coverage expected as outlined.
