Ultrasonographer in Newton, NC

An opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with strong general imaging and vascular skills. This contract position involves working primarily night shifts and is best suited to professionals adept at multitasking in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Schedule Details:

• Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Weekend shifts as needed (no set rotation)
• 13-week schedule cycles
• 75% of holidays required to be worked
• Minimal call requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in general imaging and vascular ultrasound (required)
• ARDMS (any specialty) or ARRT Sonography certification
• BLS certification
• Previous travel assignment experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Ability to float between main hospital and advanced imaging outpatient clinic as needed
• Comfortable working with radiology students occasionally
• Competency with Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound equipment
• Proficient with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
• Strong multitasking abilities and quick adaptability to new protocols
• All candidates must present photo identification during compliance process

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams, including vascular studies, on diverse patient populations (oncology, cardiology, COVID/flu/RSV, stroke)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and support department operations as staff levels require
• Float between inpatient and outpatient imaging settings based on department needs
• Assist in a collaborative, family-oriented culture that values teamwork and efficiency
• Complete pre-employment orientation and adhere to department guidelines, including wearing black scrubs
