Ultrasonographer Tech - Newton, North Carolina

Schedule

• 1900-0700 (12-hour night shifts)
• Weekend work required as needed; no set rotation
• Holiday coverage expected for approximately 75% of holidays
• Floating required between main hospital and outpatient imaging clinic
• Minimal on-call requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on ultrasound experience (first-time travelers not considered)
• Registered with ARDMS (no specific anatomy certification required) or ARRT
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong vascular scanning skills essential
• Fast learner; able to multitask in a busy environment
• Professional photo ID (for compliance process)
• No state licensure in North Carolina required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general and vascular ultrasound studies, supporting diagnostics for conditions such as cancer, stroke, heart attack, COVID, RSV, and flu
• Adapt to floating between hospital and outpatient advanced imaging center as patient needs arise
• Operate Siemens Sequoia and P2000 equipment; document findings in EPIC EMR system
• Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care in a team-oriented department
• Collaborate closely with staff, providers, and radiology students when present
