Schedule/Hours:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 2-dimensional, color Doppler, and Doppler echocardiograms of the heart, including stress and dobutamine echocardiograms.
- Apply extensive knowledge to interpret and analyze test performance and results.
- Utilize non-imaging continuous Doppler techniques to diagnose and image abnormal pathologies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing wall motion abnormalities, ventricular and regional wall issues, effusions, stenotic/regurgitant lesions, and congenital abnormalities.
- Review and interpret test results, providing preliminary reports to referring physicians or house officers.
- Carefully review patients’ charts to gather clinical history, ensuring accurate and detailed cardiac examinations.
- Explain procedures and properly position patients for cardiac ultrasound studies.
- Conduct portable studies and transport equipment as needed throughout the facility.
- Record results with precision, utilize video recorders and transducers, and ensure permanent documentation of studies.
- Perform quality control by recording, calculating, and plotting control values on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized testing environment, including supply management and equipment sanitation.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in general ultrasound imaging, specifically echocardiography, including all phases and advanced procedures.
- Solid understanding of Doppler technology and interpretation of diagnostic results.
- Experience preparing and interpreting cardiac ultrasound exams.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
