A healthcare facility in Shelby, NC is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with vascular ultrasound experience for a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy environment serving diverse patient needs, including critical cases such as stroke, cancer, and heart attack. The position involves floating between the main hospital and an outpatient imaging center, providing varied experience and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and vascular ultrasound imaging utilizing Siemens Sequoia and P2000 equipment.
  • Manage daily patient imaging, averaging 250-300 patients across departments.
  • Ensure high-quality diagnostic images in compliance with facility protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting with a family-oriented departmental culture.
  • Float between the main hospital and outpatient imaging center as needed.
  • Participate in orientation and training modules totaling approximately three days.
  • Adhere to holiday and weekend coverage expectations; weekends as needed and 75% holiday work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience; vascular ultrasound expertise required.
  • Certification by ARDMS (no specific anatomy required) or ARRT.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Fast learner with strong multitasking abilities.
  • No NC state licensure required; valid photo identification necessary.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.

Shift Details:

  • Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Generally no on-call requirements.
  • Weekend coverage as needed without a fixed rotation.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Scrub color: Black.
