Step into a dynamic imaging environment dedicated to exceptional patient care and cutting-edge technology. This contract opportunity focuses on general ultrasound and vascular imaging in a high-volume hospital and outpatient setting. The shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend coverage as needed and travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays. Floating between inpatient and advanced outpatient clinics is required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (first-time travelers are not eligible)
  • ARDMS or ARRT certification; BLS required
  • Vascular ultrasound proficiency needed
  • Comfortable with fast-paced workflows and multitasking
  • Photo ID required as part of compliance
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different staff support depending on shift
  • NC state licensure not required

Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment cycle
  • Weekend and holiday work required as described above
  • Minimal on-call needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound procedures for a variety of diagnoses including stroke, cardiac events, cancers, and infectious disease
  • Operate Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound systems; document results in the EPIC EMR
  • Float between the main hospital and outpatient advanced imaging center as needed
  • Provide a patient-centered experience in a Level 3 Trauma, Stroke, and Certified Chest Pain Center
  • Participate in a collaborative department culture with occasional teaching moments alongside radiology students
