Ultrasonographer - Shelby, NC

This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer skilled in general and vascular ultrasound, offering exposure to a range of patient cases from cancer and stroke to heart and respiratory conditions.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule runs in 13-week cycles
• Weekend work required as needed (no set rotation)
• Expected to work approximately 75% of holidays
• Typically no on-call responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in ultrasound required
• Vascular ultrasound experience is essential
• Must hold BLS certification and ARDMS (no specific anatomy certification required) or ARRT
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Adaptability and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities:

• Perform general and vascular ultrasound exams, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across the main hospital and outpatient imaging center
• Float as needed between locations based on patient needs
• Utilize Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound equipment and EPIC EMR for documentation
• Support radiology students and maintain a professional, welcoming approach with patients experiencing a wide variety of acute and chronic diagnoses
• Complete facility-specific and departmental orientation (3 days combined)
• Wear black scrubs and utilize free onsite parking
