We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a contract opportunity where you will be an integral part of a dedicated diagnostic imaging team. This role requires proficiency in utilizing ultrasound technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent
  • Current registration by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required
  • Demonstrated experience performing general ultrasound imaging procedures
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to ultrasound imaging
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and imaging department protocols
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in medical records systems
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning and promptly report issues
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and answering questions to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Adhere strictly to all safety and infection control protocols
