Ultrasonographer in Staten Island, NY

Take on a vital role in diagnostic imaging as an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in general ultrasound procedures, with an emphasis on OB applications. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and is ideal for skilled professionals interested in exploring a long-term fit, as there is potential for a permanent position based on performance and facility needs.

Shift:

• Monday to Friday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Obstetric ultrasound
• Proficiency with GE ultrasound equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality imaging
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical staff and patients
• Willingness to participate in an extensive in-person scan interview (3–4 hours); compensation provided for the interview session

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of general and OB ultrasound imaging procedures according to physician orders
• Operate and maintain GE ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and image quality
• Accurately document and present findings to radiologists and referring providers
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions as needed
• Work collaboratively with the imaging team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow
• Uphold patient privacy and comply with regulatory guidelines and facility protocols
