Key Qualifications:

• Registered or registry-eligible as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent)
• Demonstrated proficiency in general ultrasound, with experience performing abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and vascular studies
• Strong knowledge of sonographic equipment, imaging protocols, and anatomy
• Ability to assess images for technical quality and provide preliminary findings to physicians
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and medical staff
• Compliance with safety, infection control, and privacy regulations
• Current BLS certification
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations
• Review and evaluate images for clarity and completeness before submission to radiologists
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all performed exams
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
• Monitor and ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of imaging equipment
