Ultrasonographer Tech | Utica, New York

Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services on a contract basis. The schedule for this position is 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and gain exposure to a broad mix of cases, including OB, general, and vascular studies. This environment allows you to build your expertise alongside skilled clinical professionals.

Essential Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
• Current certification from ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent
• Proficient in performing general, OB, and vascular ultrasound exams
• Knowledge of current imaging protocols and best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and healthcare staff
• Current BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound examinations following physician orders and protocols
• Accurately capture diagnostic images and document findings for physician review
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care
• Maintain and ensure the functionality of ultrasound equipment, reporting any concerns as needed
• Assist in patient preparation, addressing questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure
• Keep timely records and documentation in accordance with facility policies
