Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or eligible to obtain certification.
- Proven experience performing and interpreting general ultrasound examinations.
- Strong understanding of sonographic principles, equipment, and patient positioning.
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to maintain documentation accurately and in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Flexibility in adapting to fast-paced clinical environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic general ultrasound imaging to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
- Prepare, educate, and position patients to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, following all safety protocols.
- Record and review test results, reporting findings to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Maintain patient privacy and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff and respond promptly to requests or changes in patient status.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
