Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in performing general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, and small parts studies
• Ability to assess and adjust sonographic equipment for optimal imaging quality
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal communication for working with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of general ultrasound exams based on physician orders, ensuring quality diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for each procedure
• Accurately document patient information and maintain records of imaging studies
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical personnel to relay significant findings
• Maintain imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions or issues as needed
• Educate patients about the procedure to ensure understanding and ease
• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
