Ultrasonographer in Woodbridge, VA

Qualifications:

• Current credential as a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent)
• Proficiency in general imaging ultrasound procedures
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical setting
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess imaging results independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• BLS certification (preferred or as required)

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations as ordered by providers
• Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient safety and equipment integrity
• Document and record patient history relevant to the imaging procedure
• Analyze, select, and capture optimal images to assist with diagnosis
• Communicate technical information and results to physicians and other medical staff
• Maintain accurate records and follow facility protocols for patient care and safety
• Educate and comfort patients before, during, and after procedures

$2,277 - $2,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
