Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a registered echocardiography technologist
  • Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Graduation from an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program with emphasis in echocardiography
  • Successful completion of an approved arrhythmia detection course
  • Active CPR certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Strong technical abilities to perform quality echocardiogram studies independently and collaboratively
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication abilities—both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality
  • Effective time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive vascular and cardiac ultrasound imaging studies following best practices and protocols
  • Analyze results to support physicians in accurate diagnosis and care planning
  • Accurately document patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Manage equipment operation and troubleshoot minor technical issues
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment, providing support and guidance where needed
  • Communicate findings, processes, and patient instructions clearly and compassionately
