A healthcare opportunity is available for an ultrasound technologist with skills in vascular and general ultrasound imaging. This contract position is based in Deatsville, Alabama, and offers a chance to work in a facility with nearly 500 beds, serving a diverse patient population that includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as trauma cases.
Responsibilities for this role include performing general, OB, and vascular ultrasound studies using charting systems such as Cerner and Philips Intellispace PACS. The position requires a 1:1 patient ratio and includes a thorough orientation involving hospital and unit-specific training. The schedule involves weekend rotations without on-call duties, and holiday work is expected when it coincides with your rotation. Time off requests can be approved by management. Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification: ARDMS or ARRT (S); Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with general, OB, and vascular ultrasound imaging
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including trauma, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Proficiency using Cerner and Philips Intellispace PACS charting systems
