X-Ray Technologist in Cortland, NY

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Valid ARRT certification or equivalent state certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Previous experience in X-ray/imaging, with a strong understanding of anatomy, positioning, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality X-ray exams in accordance with physician instructions and department protocols
• Properly position patients to achieve accurate images while prioritizing comfort and safety
• Operate radiologic equipment and manage digital image processing and archiving
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations before procedures
• Support the medical team by relaying accurate imaging information and assisting as needed
