X-Ray Technician in Danville, VA

This contract opportunity supports a facility recognized as the region’s only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, offering specialized and broad-spectrum medical services including advanced surgical care, cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, and 24-hour emergency services.

Schedule/Hours:

• Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience operating X-ray equipment within a clinical or hospital environment
• Active, valid certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT or equivalent)
• Current state licensure to perform diagnostic radiology procedures (if required)
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory guidelines in medical imaging
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient data with confidentiality
• Effective communication skills for working with healthcare teams and patient interaction

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Evaluate images for clarity and ensure accurate, timely submission to interpreting physicians
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked imaging rooms, following infection control protocols
• Educate patients on procedures, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with colleagues across surgical, oncology, and emergency departments as needed
