Travel X-Ray Technician - Groton, New York

As a Travel X-ray Technologist, you will immerse yourself in a progressive environment while working weekend 16-hour shifts (7:00 AM–11:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday). This schedule leaves you weekdays free for personal pursuits or local exploration. The role allows you to broaden your clinical expertise, adapt to diverse imaging protocols, and collaborate with seasoned healthcare teams, all of which look fantastic on your resume and accelerate your professional growth.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (R) certification required
• Current state radiologic technologist license, or eligibility to obtain in NY
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• One year of recent X-ray/radiologic technologist experience preferred
• Proficiency with digital imaging systems and radiology equipment
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, providing clear instructions and compassionate care
• Accurately document exams in electronic health records
• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot radiology equipment
• Collaborate with providers and nurses to support optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards
