X-Ray Technologist in Ithaca, NY

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
• Valid state license to perform radiologic procedures
• Experience in general X-ray imaging within a clinical or hospital environment
• Solid understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
• Attention to detail with strong documentation and recordkeeping abilities

Responsibilities:

• Perform standard diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust settings to produce optimal results
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and imaging logs
• Monitor equipment for proper functioning and arrange for maintenance as required
• Adhere to established departmental policies and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care
• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients during procedures
