X-Ray Technician | Kansas City, Kansas

Step into a vital role supporting patient care through expert imaging services as an X-ray Technologist. This 13-week contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where precision and compassion are highly valued.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour mid shifts weekly: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Rotating on-call: One night per week (Tuesday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Rotating weekend: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM), plus occasional Friday–Monday coverage as per rotation

Qualifications:

• Current certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Active Kansas state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated proficiency with standard X-ray imaging procedures and safety standards
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and on-call requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate results
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all performed procedures
• Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and radiation safety policies
• Support patients with clear instructions and compassionate care throughout the imaging process
• Help maintain inventory of supplies and ensure optimal functioning of imaging equipment
