We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist with a strong background in radiologic imaging to fulfill a 13-week contract assignment. The position focuses on providing top-quality X-ray imaging using both technical knowledge and compassionate patient interaction.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
- Evening hours from 3:00pm to 11:00pm
- Specific days to be determined during the interview process
Key Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and performing diagnostic imaging in a healthcare environment
- Ability to follow established protocols while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Solid communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients and interact effectively with clinical teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams as ordered by physicians
- Ensure images meet quality standards for interpretation
- Maintain proper documentation and handle imaging records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Prepare and position patients appropriately, taking care to explain procedures and minimize discomfort
- Adhere to safety standards regarding radiation exposure for patients, self, and team members
- Support the daily workflow of the imaging department and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
