X-Ray Technologist in Louisville, KY

This opportunity is for a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-ray imaging to support a busy hospital environment. The role involves performing a high volume of imaging exams daily across multiple units, including ER, transplant, cardiac, and critical care areas. This position offers a contract assignment in Louisville, KY, with flexible scheduling and the chance to gain experience in advanced imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform X-ray exams in various settings: 1 ER X-ray room, 3 main floor X-ray rooms, 1 outpatient facility X-ray room, and portable units.
• Conduct approximately 180 imaging exams per day on inpatient and outpatient populations, including transplant workups, cardiac cases, trauma, and more.
• Operate advanced equipment such as Shimadzu and GE portables, Carestream ER, OEC C-arms, and O-arms.
• Float as needed throughout the hospital, including operating rooms.
• Utilize electronic medical records (Cerner) and PACS (McKesson/Change Healthcare) for documentation and image management.
• Adhere to department protocols and safety standards while working collaboratively with supervisors and other Radiologic Technologists.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technology experience.
• ARRT certification and state licensure required.
• BLS certification mandatory.
• Proficiency with portable X-ray units and C-arm equipment; O-arm experience is a plus or willingness to learn.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced workload with strong attention to detail.
• Open to first-time travel Radiologic Technologists.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• 12-hour shifts with weekend rotations; schedule may include 3 twelve-hour or 4 ten-hour shifts.
• On-call duties with a typical 1-hour response time for critical staffing; weekend 12-hour call shifts possible.
• Holiday work as scheduled.
• Flexible scheduling aimed at providing optimal time off.
