X-Ray Technician | Martinsville, Virginia

As part of a collaborative medical imaging department, you'll play a crucial role supporting diagnostics and patient care within a modern, 250-bed facility recognized for its comprehensive surgical, emergency, and specialized treatment services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required
• Valid state license for Radiologic Technologists
• Proven experience operating X-ray equipment in a clinical or hospital environment
• Knowledge of radiographic procedures, safety, and infection control standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with patients and care teams
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Schedule:

• Contract position with flexible scheduling options (hours to be discussed)
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions offered on Tuesdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Ensure quality, safety, and comfort for patients throughout imaging processes
• Accurately process images for physician review using advanced digital systems
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the facility’s status as a Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Document all work in compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines
