X-Ray Technician | Mississippi State, Mississippi

Step into a pivotal role delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position is seeking an experienced professional skilled in X-ray procedures, with additional exposure to ER, outpatient, inpatient, pain management, operating room cases, and Fluoroscopy. There is also the possibility to assist with some CT imaging.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• On-call responsibilities every other week in Surgery

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Demonstrated expertise in general X-ray procedures
• Comfort working in fast-paced ER and IP/OP settings
• Previous experience with pain cases, OR cases, and Fluoro required
• Adaptability to handle occasional CT assignments
• Ability to respond to on-call demands and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• State licensure and BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, focusing on X-ray, under physician direction while adhering to facility protocols
• Support surgery by providing intraoperative X-ray imaging every other week
• Accurately position patients and use proper techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic results and patient comfort
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to optimize imaging workflow in ER, outpatient, and inpatient settings
• Maintain safety standards, infection control, and patient confidentiality at all times
• Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel as needed

$2,064 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
